Alfa Romeo Giulia allows you to choose from 3 different trim configurations- base Giulia, Giulia Ti, and the menacing Giulia Quadrifoglio. The base Giulia is further divided as Giulia and Giulia Sport, mid-tier Ti as Ti, Ti Sport and Ti Lusso while Quadrioglio is performance-oriented car.

Giulia and Ti trims get a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder powertrain that generates 280 hp and 306 lb.-ft. of torque. It sends power to the rear wheels of the car via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The acceleration is zippy and hit the pedal to the metal for a hair-raising experience. You can opt for the AWD variant too if you want but RWD is the need of the hour. Alfa Romeo has equipped all the variants in a manner that you get what you need for a comfortable journey in a car from the base variant. You get an efficiency of 24 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway which is good for a sedan like this. That’s why this configuration is often chosen by travelers in need at car rental agencies.

Giulia Quadrifoglio is the sheer-performance sedan that carries a Ferrari-developed 2.9-liter V6 engine churning out huge 505 hp of power. It is only available with RWD and has a 9-speed automatic gear stick. It has a long equipment list which makes is a deal worth considering. It has high-performance brembo brakes, dual-exhaust pipe with varying sound, track ready Pirelli P Zero Corza, and adaptive dampers.

Alfa Romeo Giulia stands true to its motive as the car along with performance has got sharp handling and tantalizing grip on the road. Steering response is spot-on and the feedback from the tires can be felt on the steering as well. It is a car with high-stability and it can corner at high speeds without breaking a sweat.

Giulia is a driver-centric car – the controls are easily accessible for the driver and are pretty intuitive. Front seats are very spacious, comfortable, and supportive, and offer better legroom than what the passengers in the rear get, which makes it ideal for a traveling couple. There’s a little tire and wind sound inside the cabin at high speeds but that harmony from the engine is worth hearing.

Alfa Romeo must have some of the finest designers, and you can make it out from its looks. The front has an iconic triangular Alfa Romeo grille with fierce looking narrow LED headlights. It is sleek and curvy but doesn’t look like overweight. Giulia Quadrifoglio is a bit different as it gets different set of grille and also has air vents on the bonnet.

The crash tests conducted by the IIHS have been really good for Giulia as it received Superior front crash ratings. Although NHTSA results should be out soon, they’ll be good for the Italian beauty, too.

Giulia gets ABS, rear park assist, rearview camera, 8-airbags, and stability control. Advanced safety tech includes blind-spot monitoring, auto-dimming mirrors, and rear-cross path detection to keep you and your travel companions safe on the road.

If you have had enough of the big 3 Germans- Audi, Mercedes, and BMW – and want to get something exclusive and powerful for your next road trip in the US, Giulia is the one. It is a car for enthusiasts and it won’t disappoint you. Be it the 4-cylinder engine or the high-powered V6, both have breathtaking performance once you hit the pedal to the metal. Also, it is priced lower than the rivals giving it an unbeatable advantage.
