Nature in India

Flowers of the Indian summer

This year the Indian heat wave broke records for the highest temperature, and though I considered myself completely acclimatized, this time the effect of  feeling half boiled all the time is starting to show 🙂 The kids feel no better too. The monsoon is needed so badly… Anyway, this post is not about our misfortunes, but about one thing I like about this time of the year – the abundance of flowering plants. Flowers of the Indian summer come in a vast array of shapes, colors and fragrances. Here are just a few of them – all the photos were  taken in my neighborhood. I’ve made sure to identify the names of all the flowers, so you can research on any of them in case you get curious. For now, enjoy the visual treat 🙂
