Nature in India

Photo of the week 3 – the art of aging grecefully

Walking in  the morning around the neighborhood and observing the city lazily waking up, I noticed the most beautiful flowers on the ground near one of the houses. I picked up one of them and had  a closer look – its petals represented a tasteful combination of white and brown. Brown is a very unusual color in flowering plants, so I decided to investigate further and to see how these flowers look before they fall on the ground. But when I looked up, I saw the most ordinary plain white flowers hiding between the leaves of the tree. Showing these beautiful brown patches is their way to fade. I could never understand exactly what they mean by “aging gracefully” referring to people, but now, thanks to this little flower, I have a better idea of it.
