Hi there!
I'm Antonina, originally from Ukraine. In 2008 I moved to India, and since that time I can't stop being fascinated by this country. Here I'm sharing my travel adventures and cultural experiences. To know more, feel free to check out my About Me page.

The very mention of Ahmedabad makes me nostalgic. I started my professional career in Ahmedabad as a Management Trainee with SBI Life Insurance and have many fond memories of that city. Also spent some time in Vadodara on deputation with State Bank of India’s retail loan division. Honestly speaking, tier 2 & tier 3 cities in India are much better than megapolis like Delhi, Mumbai etc.
Hm, from an expat point of view Mumbai and Delhi are much more preferable as long term places to live. But smaller cities are definitely worth visiting and exploring.
How did you find Modi’s Gujarat 🙂
Loved it, but sometimes it was difficult to communicate when people smoke no English or even Hindi.
Do visit Vadodara & you will fall in love with the city ! I find many similarities between Vadodara & Nagpur. Both Vadodara & Nagpur offer all the advantages of a big city minus its disadvantages 🙂
I’ve been to Nagpur and understand what you mean. I’ll definitely include Vadodara (thanks for your advice!) when planning my upcoming trips – usually I travel one city at a time.
Interesting 🙂
Yes, I couldn’t resist taking this photo 🙂
Those red uniforms make it colourful.
Must be just outside the railway station.
Yes, these are coolies (porters) at rest just outside the Ahmedabad railway station.
